I was born in Weehawken, New Jersey, the oldest of three children. My parents emigrated from Cuba. I graduated from Northeastern Bible College and attended the University of Florida College of Law where I earned my Juris Doctor with Honors.

After college, I went on to attend and graduate from the University of Florida Graduate School with a Masters of Law in Taxation. I also did my graduate study in Theology at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Reformed Theological Seminary, and I am ordained as a minister. I am actively involved in various community organizations and Redeemer Presbyterian Church, where I serve as an elder. I am a graduate of the Leadership Lakeland Class XXIX.

My wife, Dámaris, and I have been married for over 30 years, and our daughter and son-in-law are both artists who live in the New England area. I am an avid reader and enjoy cooking, entertaining friends, and traveling with my wife. In my spare time, I enjoy making wine and smoking cigars. I am a former marathon runner but in recent years I have replaced running with cycling. I fluently speak both Spanish and English.

Claudia Solorzano

Office Administrator

I was born in Texas and, yes, I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan! I have lived in Florida long enough to be considered a Floridian, and I received my MBA from Nova Southeastern University. Go Sharks! I have worked at Medina Law Group, P.A. for 7 years and have been the Office Administrator since 2009. I have been married for fifteen years and have one daughter. I am an avid shoe shopper and am fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Dámaris Peña-Medina

Business Manager

I was born in Santa Clara, Las Villas, Cuba, and was raised in New Jersey, so my parents made sure I was fluent in both Spanish and English. I moved to Tampa, Florida, in the 1970s and have made Lakeland my home since 1996. I am a graduate of the University of South Florida’s College of Arts and Sciences. I have a degree in Social Science/Speech Language Pathology and worked in that field for several years. In 2001, I began working part-time at Medina Law Group, P.A., and I worked in many capacities until 2008 when I became the Business Manager. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, reading, painting, art, and foreign films. I love gardening and gluten-free baking. I am a baseball fan and a Tampa Bay Rays season ticket holder, but the New York Mets will always have a special place in my heart. My husband and I have been married over 30 years, and we still love getting lost while traveling and exploring new places. Oh, and don’t be surprised if you run into Sebastian, my Bichon Frise, in the lobby of Medina Law Group, P.A.

Bri Turner

Assistant to Daniel Medina, B.C.S.

I was born and raised in Central Florida with an ironically avid love for snow and cold weather. I lived in Chicago for two years, but moved back to my home state in 2013 to be closer to family and finish my education. I am a recent graduate of Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. I earned my undergraduate degree in Human Services, and plan to further my education by receiving my Masters in Counseling. I am actively involved at Strong Tower Church and enjoy painting, cooking, playing board games, and watching FSU football. I joined the Medina Law Group in 2016. When not utilizing my organizational and administrative skills for the Medina Law Group, P.A., I prefer to spend time with my three nieces or shopping at Hobby Lobby.
